Wellington
We have taken a number of small group escorted tours to the World of Wearable Arts (WOW) in Wellington, with our first in 2011. We have taken tours in most years and each time added a few different things planned for while we were there.
We have been to Weta Workshop, Te Papa, done a Lord of the Rings tour plus there is always time for yourself to enjoy the city at your leisure and maybe do some retail therapy. Wellington is an amazing city, and we make sure we stay at very central accommodation in close proximity (walking distance) to the WOW show venue at the Michael Fowler Centre.
We only book Premium seats and get up very early on the first day of ticket sales to secure fabulous viewing of the show. Having been to WOW several times, it is always an amazing experience with each year being very different to previous ones. The weekend is not just for the girls – we have had men come on a few of our tours and they have thoroughly enjoyed the weekend away.
The tour includes airport transfers in Auckland and Wellington, so everything is sorted for an amazing weekend away.

UPDATE:
WOW 2021 was sadly cancelled owing to Covid-19 and lockdowns. Most people on the 2020 Escorted Tour have rebooked for WOW 2022. Therefore there are a very limited number of places available on the 2022 Tour. Based on previous years, the package price for 2022 should be available in February 2022.
