Samoa

I enjoyed my honeymoon here and what a wonderful place to relax. Even more laid-back than the Cook Islands, we stayed at Aggie Grey’s Lagoon and Spa Resort on Upolu, about a 10-minute trip west of the Airport. This is now called Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort.

The food, culture and massages were equally as good as each other. Most days were spent swimming – both in the pools and in the sea. One day we hired a car and drove around Upolu and it is a much bigger island than I had imagined. It took us over 8 hours to complete the circumference, stopping at little resorts along the way.

We also took the courtesy bus from the hotel one day and visited the capital, Apia, going to the markets and walking along the seafront boulevard. I highly recommend Samoa for the ultimate “flop and drop” holiday and, of course, for a honeymoon.
